Build Your College Strategy

Eleventh grade is the time to move from general exploration to a focused college admissions strategy.

Guidance may include developing an initial college list, planning and prioritizing college visits, reviewing 11th- and 12th-grade course selection, identifying summer internships, research opportunities and other meaningful activities, and developing a standardized testing plan for the SAT or ACT.

Students also begin evaluating academic programs, campus environments and admissions expectations so that they enter senior year with a thoughtful and realistic application plan.
